Sentry is the story of Jack Schilt whose carefree days end when he is confronted with the true history of his ancestors that not only changes his life completely but also challenges the right to live of the entire human colony on the planet Gondwana. When man started to colonize Gondwana 600 years before Jack's birth, a dark chapter in human history began. Enslaving the natives and abusing them for dubious experiments in the name of the almighty science unleashed a fatal war that brought the human race to the brink of destruction. Facing a complete new beginning the survivors, deprived of their technologies and knowledge, commence building a more peaceful world. To make this happen they decide to keep the past from catching up to their children, a task they did not accomplish successfully. When Jack Schilt and his brother Robert come across old scripts revealing the world of their ancestors they way it really was, things are set into motion that can not be undone anymore. All of a sudden legends become reality, truths turn into lies. Along with the Old Knowledege ancient powers are awakening that had rested underneath the apparently quiet surface. Several different life forms resume fighting for the supremacy on Gondwana. The legitimate masters, however, prove to be too powerless to win the last battle and eventually take advantage of the humans to turn the tables to their favour.
Jack's odyssey through the vast lands of Gondwana begins when his brother Rob disappears out of the blue. More and more he realizes the key role he has to play, a burden imposed on him by a past long gone. Too late he discovers that either succeeding or failing his mission means the end of mankind on Gondwana...
